Types of Sentences

Sentence Types by Structure
- Simple sentence: one main clause — The boy ran home.
- Compound sentence: two main clauses joined by a conjunction — She studied hard, and she passed.
- Complex sentence: main clause + subordinate clause — Although it was raining, he played outside.
Essential Punctuation
