Division

Division splits a number into equal parts. The answer is the quotient.

Example: 144 ÷ 12 = 12

Long Division Example

  432 ÷ 16
  = 27

Step 1: How many 16s in 43? → 2 (because 2×16=32). Write 2, remainder 43−32=11.
Step 2: Bring down 2 → 112. How many 16s in 112? → 7 (7×16=112). Remainder 0.
Answer: 27
